Facts The sugar batch rope coming from the batch former, rope former or extruder passes through an inspection device in front of the BVK 0030 ES. This regulates the rope speed before the rope is fed to the first sizing roller device. The rope cross-section is precalibrated here. A second sizing roller pair forms the final cross-section of the batch rope and fed to the rotating and simultaneous oscillating cutting knife at a speed necessary for the cut length. The speed of the two sizing roller pairs is infinitely variable. In this way it is possible to adjust the length of the cut exactly as the machine is running. The oscillation of the knife keeps the batch rope at a continuous speed during the cutting process. This guarantees that the cut is straight and smooth.
