Overview
The MonoPacker LDM is a highly flexible Delta robot system for placing large production volumes into containers, directly from the production process. The containers are transported on a conveyor belt or a chain parallel to the product belt and continuously filled-up with products. The adaptation of the product flow and the speed of the containers is fully automatically controlled. Normally, the system is completed by a tray denester, carton erector and carton closer. If required, further modules like metal detector, cushion dispenser and check weigher can be integrated.

Facts
Products and pack styles
High flexibility in respect of product size and shape is ensured through the integrated vision system. Products and containers of different shapes and in random orientation are reliably detected and any faulty ones are automatically ignored. The optionally available quality control enables the analysis of complex features of the product. For example, it is possible to recognise surface damages and incompleteness or the dimensions of the products. Specially developed grippers ensure that not only almost all products are precisely picked but also guarantee a constantly high product quality through especially gentle and hygienic handling.
Construction and design
The modular and compact design allows a simple and individual integration in an existing production process, as well as good accessibility and system overview. The highly dynamic Sigpack Delta robots excel through their maintenance-free and robust design. The observance of higher standards of hygiene is ensured as all the components which come into contact with the product, like belts and rippers, can be simply and quickly cleaned.

Function description
The MonoPacker is operated through colour touch screens. Format changes are easily and quickly carried out as all the sizes to be produced are stored in the form of «recipes» and can be easily retrieved at the push of a button. Basically, the replacement of mechanical size parts is carried out without using any tool. For example, the gripper is exchanged by using a special quick-lock device. The possibility of optimising all the important control parameters online (depending on the preset user level) without in any way interrupting the production ensures maximum availability and reliability.
